Position Summary
The Department of Medicine at the University of Alberta is seeking a Project Coordinator to support the Art & Design Working Group (ADWG) within the Smartwear Revolution—a multi-year, transdisciplinary research initiative funded by the Canada First Research Excellence Fund. The Smartwear Revolution brings together artists, technologists, designers, healthcare professionals, and people with lived experience to co-create wearable smart textiles that improve mobility, reduce injury, and foster community inclusion.The ADWG plays a central role in creative knowledge mobilization, inclusive design, and the coordination of two major Art & Technology festivals. Reporting to the Senior Research Administrator and the ADWG Lead, the Project Coordinator will lead logistics for open calls, residencies, and performances while ensuring accessible, collaborative research experiences across diverse media. This is a dynamic role suited to someone with experience in both artistic production and research coordination.
