This is your chance to join our growing team. We are currently seeking a Field Service Engineer in the Pulp and Paper Automation business to join our SMART Products team. SMART products are a line of specialty analyzers and control devices for the manufacturing of wood pulp and paper. While the location is flexible, the preferred location would be in the Southeast or Northwest of the US.

On a daily basis, you will be responsible for performing a variety of project and service-related work for our customers. This includes installing, commissioning, and starting up new systems, providing Lifecycle Support services, responding to customer service inquiries, resolving technical issues, and being a subject matter expert for our line of SMART Products.

Responsibilities of this role include:

  • Ensuring high customer satisfaction for those customers with SMART products in North America.
  • Collaborating with other team members to ensure that technical matters are being satisfactorily addressed and any issues are being promptly resolved.
  • Providing regular updates to customers regarding the status of their projects and service inquiries.
  • Preparing technical reports as per project scope of supply or status of service inquiries.
  • Ensuring that all service work is completed in compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Participating in training and professional development programs to stay up-to-date with new products and technologies.

When selecting the ideal candidate we will be looking for the following qualifications:

  • Associate's degree in electronics, engineering, mechatronics or related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in customer service or technical support roles.
  • Understanding of the pulp and paper manufacturing process is preferred.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical information to non-technical audiences.
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues quickly and efficiently.
  • Experience with instrumentation and electrification, including installation, troubleshooting and repair.
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
  • Must have a valid driver's license and be able to travel to customer sites as needed.
  • This position requires regular travel across North America.
