Are you a detail-driven design expert with a passion for smart technology and high-end AV systems? Join La Scala, one of Western Canada’s leading firms in smart home integration and automation.

As our new Design Engineer, you’ll work closely with our Sales and Project Management teams to develop technical design solutions for luxury residential and commercial projects. You’ll help bring client visions to life with innovative layouts, schematics, and smart system plans.

What You’ll Do:

• Collaborate with internal teams to develop AV and automation system designs
• Create layouts from architectural plans for high-end homes and commercial spaces
• Conduct site visits to assess installation requirements and collect field data
• Ensure designs meet safety, structural, and regulatory standards
• Blend technical precision with aesthetic awareness in every project

What You Bring:

• Experience in AV integration, smart home, and automation design (La Scala-level projects are a plus)
• Deep understanding of lighting control, motorized shades, surveillance, AV, and network systems
• Proficiency in creating drawings, schematics, and project documentation
• Great communication skills and a strong eye for detail
• Familiarity with design tools like AutoCAD, D-Tools, Bluebeam, or similar
