About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced and knowledgeable Small Equipment Operator – Non-Ferrous to join our team. This role is responsible for managing inventory, processing materials (torching, shearing), loading containers, and working closely with a small team to ensure efficient operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of non-ferrous materials, their various grades, and best practices for handling and processing them.

  • Pay Rate: $23.76/hr.

Monday to Friday – 6:45AM to 4:15PM with occasional Saturdays from 6:45AM to 11:45AM

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage inventory of non-ferrous materials.
  • Process materials using torching, shearing, and other techniques.
  • Load containers efficiently and safely.
  • Work closely with team members to maintain workflow and productivity.
  • Ensure proper sorting and grading of all non-ferrous materials.
  • Operate equipment such as forklifts, skid steers, and loaders.
  • Maintain a safe and organized work environment.

Qualifications:

  • Extensive knowledge of non-ferrous materials and their different grades.
  • Experience with material processing (torching, shearing, etc.).
  • Strong leadership and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to manage inventory effectively.
  • Forklift experience (required).
  • Skid steer and loader experience (preferred).
  • Crane experience (bonus).
  • Skills and Competencies:
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and people skills.
  • Ability to work in a physically demanding environment.
  • Problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
