Job summary

ETC Inc. in Ontario is seeking a full-time skilled technician to inspect, diagnose and repair engines and related systems. You will perform maintenance, advise customers, and may travel to client sites for small repairs.

The role requires a minimum of 3 years’ experience (or a trade certificate/apprenticeship), a valid driver’s license, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail.

Qualifications

  • Secondary school education is required.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience; if not, a post-secondary trade certificate or completion of a 3–4 year apprenticeship in small engine/equipment repair is required.
  • Valid driver’s license is required.

Responsibilities

  • Review work orders and discuss work to be performed with supervisor.
  • Inspect and test engines and other mechanical components using test devices to diagnose and isolate faults.
  • Adjust, repair or replace mechanical or electrical system parts and components using hand tools and equipment.
  • Test and adjust repaired equipment for proper performance.
  • Perform scheduled maintenance service on equipment.
  • Advise customers on work performed and general condition of equipment.
  • Determine estimates of repair cost.
  • May drive to client locations to perform small repairs.

Job Description:

Review work orders and discuss work to be performed with supervisor

Inspect and test engines and other mechanical components using test devices to diagnose and isolate faults

Adjust, repair or replace mechanical or electrical system parts and components using hand tools and equipment

Perform scheduled maintenance service on equipment

Requirements:
Education

Secondary school education is required.

Experience

A minimum of 3 years of experience is required. If the candidate does not

have at least 3 years of experience, then a post-secondary education certificate in the trade is required OR completion of a three-to four-year apprenticeship program in small engine or

equipment repair is required.

Valid driver’s License is required

$37.00 per hour, 40-45 hours per week.

Important information:
