Central Vet is looking for Small Animal Veterinarians to join our team! Locum, part-time, or full-time availability is welcome!

About the position: We are looking for veterinarians interested in covering small animal medicine shifts including small animal wellness and urgent care appointments and surgery. Standard shifts are 10 hours in length and include 2.5 hours of resource/lunch breaks spread throughout the day. Licensed Veterinarians or new graduates interested in working part-time or full-time and able to work Saturdays on a rotation, are encouraged to apply.

Compensation:

The base salary offered will depend on experience and part-time status, as well as other factors that we are open to negotiating. Performance bonuses and production-based compensation, in addition to base salary, are also available.

Benefits for DVMs include vacation accrual starting at 6% (equivalent to 3 weeks if full-time), paid personal leave accruing at 2% (equivalent to one week if full-time), and paid time for employer-supported volunteering activities.

Continuing education is encouraged with yearly paid time off and allowance. We strive to provide training and facilitate caseloads in the areas where your passion exists – we want to help you develop a fulfilling veterinary career, doing more of what you enjoy every day.

Mentorship and continued support are important to us. We have a large team with 9 veterinarians of varying interests and expertise to share their experiences. The training period is structured, with one-on-one support, transitioning to frequent check-ins and open lines of communication with a team lead and leadership team that are all eager to see every Central Vet team member succeed.

The Ideal Candidate:

We are looking for DVMs who enjoy preventative and urgent care for dogs and cats in small animal medicine. Those who get excited about helping people optimize the bond they share with their pets through the art of veterinary medicine are encouraged to apply. Wanting to be a part of a culture of continuous improvement, strong teamwork skills and an ability to maintain positive interpersonal relationships will be important.

Successful candidates will provide services in small animal medicine, open to working weekdays and Saturday shifts.

Advanced experience or specialized certification in areas such as behavior, sports medicine/rehab, senior, geriatric, and palliative care, or integrative medicine such as acupuncture, laser therapy, nutrition, chiropractic, or herbal medicine is not required but would be considered an asset.
