The University of Calgary, Faculty of Veterinary Medicine (UCVM), is seeking to fill one full-time academic position (Teaching and Research stream) in Small Animal Nutrition. The appointment will be at the rank of Assistant Professor (tenure track) or Associate Professor (with tenure), supported by a limited term Hill's Pet Nutrition Professorship in Animal Nutrition. The candidate will be appointed in the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, with an anticipated start date of August 1, 2025, or as mutually agreed.
The position requires a DVM (or equivalent). Board certification (Dipl. ACVIM (Nutrition) and/or Dipl. ECVCN) is preferred, but residency-trained candidates eligible for the Nutrition Specialty Examination will also be considered. An additional graduate degree is an asset. Candidates must be eligible for licensure in Alberta.
The faculty offers clinical opportunities in a distributed veterinary teaching hospital and community clinics. UCVM's DVM program is AVMA-accredited, with plans to expand.
