Gateway Casino is seeking a customer-service professional who thrives in the fast-paced and exciting casino environment. The Slot Attendant role places you at the heart of the action, ideal for those who enjoy interacting with guests and providing exceptional support to players at our slot machines.

In this role, you will provide vital front-line customer support, including observing slot players and machines, offering instructions, and answering questions to ensure a memorable experience for our guests at Gateway.

Key Responsibilities

• Promote ongoing and upcoming casino promotions and initiatives
• Manage slot machine reservations and promote casino activities
• Ensure compliance with internal controls, company policies, and gaming regulations
• Handle cash floats, verify jackpots, and provide payouts and change
• Report violations and escalate as necessary
• Maintain slot machines and monitor for prompt service
• Stay informed on slot operation policies and procedures
• Perform additional duties as needed

Qualifications

• Experience handling cash and working with the public
• Excellent customer service skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Basic knowledge of slot machine functions is an asset
• Physical ability to stand for long periods and lift objects similar to a full box of paper
• Serving It Right certification prior to start
• Ability to obtain registration with BCLC
• Strong multitasking skills and team orientation
• Willingness to develop new skills and stay informed about industry trends
