Job description

Review dockets to collect information and adjust the machine settings as per the

specified requirements.

• Use TORI regularly during your shift to input relevant job data, ensuring all rolls are

correct, verifying the slit size and “slit” pass with the Extrusion and Slitting Manager.

• Prepare and cut cores to secure the necessary materials for the subsequent shift and

provide samples of each product onto the docket for future reference.

• Conduct "Hammer Testing" on the finished product to verify order accuracy and

organize completed dockets in designated areas for the Production Scheduler.

• Assemble the skids according to the customer's guidelines and remove them with

straps in the department, also having a focus on safety and security in the work area.

• Ensure the quality of film by conducting frequent quality inspections, informing the

Slitting/Extrusion Supervisor or Manager of any discrepancies.

• Protect the health and safety of yourself and others by performing safety circle checks

on equipment, creating work orders to repair damaged equipment, and keeping

common workstations and areas clean.

• Work as a team to overcome shift obstacles, exceed daily department targets and

celebrate team successes.

• Promote our core values by working within all company policies and procedures.

Ready to apply? Here’s what we need from you:

• High School Diploma, or GED Equivalent

• The ability to lift 50lbs is essential to this role

• Past working knowledge or experience working with a variety of Slitting environments

and equipment, or other transferable machinery skills would be an advantage

• Ability to adapt to new situations, solve problems, and work with minimal supervision

• High level of personal integrity and accountability, with mutual respect in dealing and

speaking with others

• A positive outlook, team-oriented mindset, and a willingness to learn and grow as a

person and team

As a general overview, it is a 36-hour work week consisting of three 12-hour shifts on a two-week rotation. The shifts are from 7 am to 7 pm for two weeks, and then 7 pm to 7 am for the next two weeks. The days of the week shift as well. The candidate must be willing to work the night shifts. We run 24 hours, six days a week, starting on Sunday evening at 7 pm and ending on Saturday evening at 7 pm.
