Job description

The Neurophysiology Technologist will perform various diagnostic testing, which includes complete diagnostic sleep studies of polysomnography, nasal CPAP & Bi-level titration and other related diagnostic tests. Also perform in-service education, provide clinical education and training to hospital personnel and act as a resource person on various aspects of Polysomnography.

Will also be able to:

  • Provide patient education regarding the use of home oxygen and therapy equipment.
  • Carry out all administrative work associated with various outpatient diagnostic procedures.
  • Re-assess patients requiring various sleep adjuncts and suggest alternatives to the physician.

Qualifications/Skills:

  • Registered Sleep Technologist with RPSGT Registration
  • Experience in EMG and/or EEG neurophysiology an asset
  • Skills in Respiratory Therapy an asset
  • Skills in EP an asset
  • Strong technical skills required
  • Strong computer skills an asset
  • Excellent communication skills and commitment to the team and Patient Focused Care
