As a Skywalk Security Guard, there is a high focus on observation, visible deterrence, and de-escalation since you will be working with people all shift, in a Skywalk environment.

Responsibilities for Skywalk Security Guard

• Customer service duties like welcoming, verifying identity, and guiding visitors
• Enforce property regulations and city bylaws on the client's site
• Protect the client's assets against theft, assault, fire, and other safety issues
• Assist in dealing with issues at the Skywalk
• Conduct safe walks on the Skywalk
• Ability to de-escalate issues by detecting vagrants with mental illness or drug use
• Escalate issues to the appropriate personnel

Qualifications for Skywalk Security Guard

• Authorized to work in Canada
• Hold a valid Manitoba security license
• First aid certification is an asset
• Proficient in basic phone and computer skills
• Previous experience as a tactical security guard is an asset
• Good with technology
• Leadership and problem-solving skills
• Ability to de-escalate issues related to vagrants with mental illness and drug use
