Job summary

Saputo Dairy Products Canada G.P. is seeking a Skilled Worker, Warehouse for an existing opportunity within our organization. This role reports to the Warehouse Supervisor and involves picking and packing orders in the refrigerated warehouse, including inspection for damaged product, documentation, and safe operation of Material Handling Equipment.

Schedule: 6 MONTHS CONTRACT; Midnight shifts including weekends. Salary: $25.04/hour.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 education is required.
• Working knowledge in food or dairy environment.
• Able to read and apply product quantity conversions to shipping documents.
• Forklift licensed preferred.
• Strong multi-tasking in a dynamic environment.
• Team player with good communication.

Responsibilities

• Supports and maintains Saputo quality standards.
• Picking line and pulling cased stacks of packaged milk.
• Operate tow motor to supply picking line and move products.
• Palletizer/Stacker duties and unloading skids with tow motor.
• Load skids onto trailers from daily order sheets.
• Record shift data and identify leaks/damages for recycling.
• Troubleshoot equipment problems and perform general housekeeping.
• Daily cleaning of Warehouse #1 and updating cleaning binder.
• Other duties as assigned.

Overview of the role

Saputo Dairy Products Canada G.P. is seeking a Skilled Worker, Warehouse for an existing opportunity within our organization.

Reporting to the Warehouse Supervisor, this position is responsible for picking and packing orders in the refrigerated warehouse, including inspection for damaged product, accurate and timely completion of documentation and good housekeeping that meet food safety requirement. In this role you will be responsible for the safe operation of Material Handling Equipment.

Schedule: 6 MONTHS CONTRACT
Midnight ( various shifts including weekends )

Salary: $25.04/hour

How you will make contributions that matter

The key position responsibilities include:

• Supports and maintains Saputo Dairy Products Canada G.P. quality standards.
• Picking line
• Pulling cased stacks of packaged milk, using a hook onto the picking track, assembly of skid orders, including individual product order picking as required. Heavy lifting required.
• Utilize tow motor to supply picking line with correct product as required for daily order picking, including picked quantities and downtime etc.
• Palletizer/Stacker
• Utilize tow motor to unload skids for product from palletizer to stock the warehouse floor
• Loader
• Utilize tow motor to load skids of product onto trailers from daily order sheets
• Note: The following responsibilities are common to all assignments listed above:
• Record any shift data required
• Identify any leakers and/or damages and move to recycle area
• Troubleshoot all equipment problems pertaining to the area and provide corrective action
• General housekeeping duties for warehouse
• Operation of floor scrubber unit
• Daily Cleaning of Warehouse #1
• General facility cleaning as required
• Daily Updating of Saputo Cleaning Binder and other documents as required
• Specific Daily Cleaning Requirements will be outlined
• Other duties as assigned

You are best suited for the role if you have the following qualifications

• Grade 12 education
• Working knowledge in food or dairy environment
• Familiar with reading and applying product quantity conversions (when necessary) to customer order shipping documents
• Forklift Licensed preferred
• Must be a person who can multi-task and enjoys working in a dynamic environment
• A high commitment level and a team player who works well with everyone
• Can easily assume additional responsibility as required
• Quick at assessing the facts and making a sound decision
• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
