Landscaping Maintenance Labourer
Location: Wallenstein, ON
Job Type: Full Time Seasonal (Start date May 1)

Bring your big imagination and great problem-solving skills to our Earthscape team as a Landscaping Maintenance Crew Member! This is a full time/seasonal opportunity to work on some of southern Ontario’s most beautiful residential landscape projects, and the chance to develop and refine a wide variety of skills. As a Skilled Landscape Maintenance Labourer, you will perform manual duties to maintain landscaped environments such as mowing, raking, weeding, edging gardens, and pruning trees and shrubs. You will operate a variety of mechanical lawn equipment such as mowers, blowers, edgers, and clippers. You will also plant flowers, grass, shrubs, and bushes to enhance our customer’s properties. As needed, the crew member will occasionally be asked to work with our landscape construction crews where they will assist our crews in the construction of hardscape areas such as pavers, flagstone, natural stone, walls, steps, and drainage/utilities installation. You will report to a crew lead and your team will ensure properties are maintained to the highest standard while having fun while you work!

To be the successful candidate you:

  • Have a passion for local plants, shrubs, and trees and their respective maintenance needs;
  • Have 1-2 years of progressive experience in ornamental horticulture and landscape maintenance;
  • Enjoy working alongside other hard working colleagues;
  • Aspire for excellence in getting the job done exceptionally well the first time;
  • Enjoy working outdoors in spring, summer, and fall;
  • Encourage a safe work environment for yourself and your colleagues;
  • Are comfortable operating lawn and garden machinery;
  • Have a minimum G Class license.
