Job description

MM Limited Partnership (MML), a Mikisew Group company, is currently seeking qualified candidates for Skilled Labourer positions at the Suncor Base Mine worksite.

• This position follows a Compressed Work Week with Suncor’s E11-E12/E13-E16 shift schedules:
  • 7 days on, 7 days off, 12-hour days
• Must be a current member in good standing with, or willing to join, Local 92 Labourers Union.
• This posting is local to Fort McMurray only; no camp accommodation is provided.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Execute daily work instructions from MML & BU Leads efficiently.
• Operate designated vehicles, including LDV range from ½ ton to ¾ ton.
• Operate forklifts (variable & reach), spot vehicles & equipment.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
• Perform housekeeping tasks such as waste disposal.
• Climb ladders & stairs; work at heights using fall protection.
• Monitor & enter confined spaces.
• Serve as fire & spark watch, bottle watch.
• Clean spills, pumps, valves, plant equipment, & tools.
• Meet productivity and quality standards.
• Load/unload tools & materials; transport between warehouses and production areas.
• Inspect LDV & equipment daily; report issues.
• Assist trades with tools, materials, setup air packs & water distribution.
• Perform other duties as required.

Training & Qualification Requirements

• Common Safety Orientation (CSO/CSTS 2020).
• Overhead Crane & Rigging certification.
• Valid Class 5 Driver's License with a clean abstract.
• Confined space monitoring & entry, gas detection, fire watch, RPE, fall protection.
• Ability to follow written & oral instructions.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Successful clearance of pre-access alcohol & drug screening.
• Forklift certification (variable & reach) and other assets like zoom boom, skid steer are preferred.
