Skilled Labourer - Electrical & Civil Infrastructure

About The Role

We seek dynamic individuals with excellent customer service and technical skills. The Labourer will assist in completing construction projects safely and efficiently, operating tools and equipment, and performing labour tasks on-site.

Responsibilities

• Represent the company positively, embodying Lead, Innovate, and Commit to Excellence behaviors
• Handle and distribute construction materials, operate small power tools, and use hand tools effectively
• Assist with excavation, backfilling, pipe installation, and earth compaction
• Communicate effectively with team members and management
• Complete documentation such as daily work orders and tailboards
• Report project issues and delays promptly
• Conduct daily safety inspections and coordinate equipment maintenance
• Follow all health, safety, and environmental regulations
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Grade 12 or equivalent
• 1-2 years' underground utility construction experience
• Book 7 certification or understanding is an asset
• Experience interpreting plans and laying conduit and pipe is an asset
• Valid Ontario Class G Driver’s Licence and clean driving record
• Criminal background check required

Physical Demands

• Work outdoors, in confined spaces, and in all weather conditions
• Move equipment and materials, climb, lift up to 50 lbs, and stand for extended periods
