• When required and if appropriately licensed and authorized, drive or operate construction equipment used on the jobsite to complete daily work assignments.
• Assist in the loading/unloading of equipment and supplies needed for daily work assignments.
• Clean and maintain all company vehicles and equipment assigned for use.
• Fully set up worksite including as directed by foreman or Manager.
- Setting up flagging
- Opening manholes or services boxes
- Using gas detectors to assess and ensure gas readings are adequate prior to entering manhole.
• Follow directions and instructions assigned by the forman or Manager.
• Perform Landscaping related duties.
• Adhere to and promote the environmental, health & safety policies of AFL.
• Perform other duties as requested, directed or assigned.
• Punctual & Reliable
• Independent - ability to work well under limited supervision
• Desire to learn & work in shallow utility environment
• Interpersonal skills – ability to work well on a team.
• Physically demanding workload.
• Work location: Rural Manitoba.
• Work hours: Shift work.
• Traveling is required.
• Valid Class 1, 3 or 5 Driver’s License.
• Certifications & Licenses not required but preferred.
• Previous Telecommunication experience is an asset.
