The ideal candidate has construction experience, ability to work with minimal oversight, and a commitment to safety. This position offers an hourly wage of $28.00 to $33.00 per hour, based on experience.

Qualifications

• Previous construction experience is required.
• Equipment operator experience is preferred.
• Must be able to perform physically demanding work (lifting, carrying, climbing ladders).
• Experience with multi-family framing and concrete is an asset.
• First Aid Level 2 certification is an asset.
• Must be able to get to and from site.
• Tele-handler (zoom boom) ticket and fall protection certification are assets.
• Desire to work safely and as part of a team.
• Willingness to work overtime and weekends as required.

Responsibilities

• Performing a range of construction related tasks as assigned.
• Operating machinery on site.
• Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel and other materials.
• Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, moldings and hardware.
• Assisting in labour activities, providing guidance to general labourers on site and ensuring quality control.
• Assisting with materials management and distribution.
• Assisting subtrades when needed and as required.
