Job summary

Next Youth Job is looking for a skilled Bricklayer (NOC 72320) in Calgary, Alberta. This is a permanent full-time position with a salary of $38.50 hourly for 30-40 hours per week. The candidate must have a secondary school graduation certificate and 3 to 5 years of experience.

Responsibilities include preparing and laying bricks, estimating materials, and working in a physically demanding environment. The employer covers relocation costs for the right candidate.

Qualifications

• 3 years to less than 5 years of experience required.
• Must be a Canadian citizen or resident.
• Valid Canadian work permit required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and lay bricks, concrete blocks, and other masonry units.
• Estimate materials, tools, and equipment required for projects.
• Construct and install prefabricated masonry units.
• Cut and trim bricks and concrete blocks to specification.
• Lay bricks for residential or commercial chimneys and fireplaces.
• Lay radial bricks for industrial chimneys.
• Line or reline furnaces and kilns using refractory materials.
