Qualifications

  • Must have a valid driver’s license.

Position Overview

At Aecon, people are at the heart of everything we do. Aecon is focused on identifying, attracting, and hiring talented Skid Steer Operators for the 2025 Construction Season in Calgary, Alberta. We are looking to add the below talent to our Road/Base crew.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate Skid Steer to move material in construction area, always being aware of surroundings.
  • Use equipment to transport dirt, gravel, clay, and other materials.
  • Operate equipment in a safe manner, following all safety regulations.
  • Perform preventative maintenance of equipment and daily safety checks.
  • Work collaboratively with crew.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Required Knowledge and Experience

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • 3+ years’ experience working as a Skid Steer Operator.
  • Experience within the heavy civil construction industry preferred.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license.
  • Adaptable to work a flexible schedule when required.
  • Self-motivated with good organizational skills.
  • Ability to communicate courteously and professionally with supervisors, co-workers, contractors, and the public.
  • Must be a team player.
