Job description

Job Description
  • Complies with all plant administrative rules.
  • Follows all applicable operating procedures.
  • Obeys plant safety rules.
  • Operates powered industrial equipment to move charges in and out of cylinders and along the drip track.
  • Shifts, spots, and relocates trams and charges from A & B Mill to Cylinders.
  • Positions charges in cylinders and, after treatment, pulls and spots charges for unloading.
  • Moves empty trams as needed.
  • Installs and moves door impact wrench as required.
  • Opens and closes treating cylinder doors.
  • Follows signals from crew members during switching, spotting, and tram movements.
  • Performs preventive maintenance tasks.
  • Assists maintenance staff with major repairs and adjustments.
  • Removes chains and binders.
  • Has authority to shop trams to meet quality standards and work efficiency.
  • Performs other assigned duties.
  • Completes all SH&E responsibilities.
  • Assists with oil car unloading as needed.
Responsibilities
  • Adheres to all SH&E regulations and policies.
  • Reports incidents, injuries, damages, spills, or releases promptly.
  • Reports and corrects unsafe acts or conditions.
  • Wears PPE as required by hazard assessments.
  • Maintains a clean-shaven face in the respiratory facepiece sealing area.
  • Completes all SH&E inspections assigned.
  • Performs housekeeping activities, including cleaning drippage and hazardous waste management.
Requirements & Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Passes preemployment medical screening.
  • Medically cleared to wear respiratory protection.
  • Demonstrates proper face-to-facepiece seal.
  • Certified as a powered industrial equipment operator.
  • Authorized as a permit confined space attendant and/or entrant.
  • Trained in lockout/tagout procedures.
  • Acceptable retention of required training elements.
  • Trained to handle hazardous waste.
