We are a privately owned and local general contractor, specializing in road building and civil construction and have been operating in British Columbia for over 70 years. Jack Cewe Construction Ltd. (CEWE) provides all aspects of road construction including excavation, placing gravel, base and sub-base, underground utility installation, concrete slabs, sidewalks and curbs, and of course asphalt paving and milling.

We are seeking a skilled Skid Steer Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge and experience in operating skid steers. This role requires a detail‑oriented individual who can perform tasks related to civil construction projects efficiently and safely.

Responsibilities
  • Operate skid steer to mill asphalt or concrete to desired specifications
  • Prep base work & Level earth to fine grade specifications with Skid steer
  • Competent with using grinder and sweeper attachments on skid steer
  • Operate plate tamper
  • Must perform routine maintenance on their skid steer – washing and cleaning the operator’s cab inside and out, greasing, and maintaining all fluid levels
  • Ensuring daily pre‑trip inspections are done
  • Follow Occupational Health & Safety (OH&S) regulations and safe work practices
  • Promote a positive work environment through effective communication and teamwork

  • Team Player – Exercise sound judgment, work safely and communicate effectively in a team.
  • This position is physically demanding and requires crouching, bending, and kneeling.
