Job summary

Sun Peaks Resort LLP is seeking a dedicated Lift Mechanic to maintain and troubleshoot chair lifts, surface lifts, and passenger conveyors at our mountain resort. You will perform both scheduled maintenance and urgent repairs, ensuring flawless operation during peak seasons and smart, safe responses during emergencies.

Qualifications include Journeyman Heavy Duty Mechanic or Millwright certification, BC Class 5 license, and Lift 151/152/153 training.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid Journeyman Heavy Duty Mechanic or Millwright certification.
• Valid BC Class 5 driver’s license is required.
• Lift-specific courses (151/152/153) completed through Selkirk College or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on all lifts according to CSA Z-98 and manufacturer recommendations.
• Maintain professional representation of Sun Peaks Resort Lift Maintenance.
• Mentor and oversee apprentices and other workers; supervise safety practices.
