Job summary

SilverBirch Hotels & Resorts LP seeks a Site Supervisor for a 7-month contract hotel renovation project, starting December 2026 in Regina, Canada. The role combines hands-on work with oversight to keep the project on schedule and safe, coordinating trades and supervising subcontractors on-site.

Qualifications

  • 5 years experience in commercial renovations, tenant improvements, or hotel renovations.
  • First Aid (OFS Level 1) Certification required.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Familiarity with construction practices, carpentry, including framing, drywall finishing is a plus.
  • Knowledge of Project Management software (Procore/PlanGrid/Autodesk Build).
  • Intermediate MS skills (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint).

  • Plan and coordinate trades to meet milestones and schedule.
  • Create a safe jobsite with site-specific plans and records.
  • Assess trade performance ensuring materials and workmanship meet standards.
  • Communicate with engineers, designers, inspectors; manage RFIs and POs.

Job description

Join our team for a 7-month contract hotel renovation project starting December 2026. We are looking for a Site Supervisor in overseeing the project while also doing hands-on work to ensure the project runs smoothly and safely.

This project has an expected completion date of end of June 2027. The salary for this role is $10,000 per month.

Responsibilities and Duties:
  • Responsible for performing advanced administrative duties as required to support the Vice President, Project Management and overall project.
  • Create and maintain schedule
  • Provide leadership that results in a safe work culture, responsible and accountable for the safety of the crew under his/her direction, and must understand and accept the importance and legal liability of the role.
  • Supervise and coordinate all site-specific construction activities and personnel and sub trades.
  • Train and monitor construction crews and subcontractors assigned to project.
  • Actively inspects job sites daily to ensure work by subcontractors matches drawings and specifications of the specific project.
  • Plan and coordinate trades to meet construction milestones and schedule
  • Create a safe jobsite with site specific plans, procedures, documenting and maintaining records
  • Assess trade performance ensuring project materials and workmanship meets the project quality standards and design requirements.
  • Communicate with and obtain information from engineers, designers, inspectors
  • Initiate Request for Information, Purchase Orders and other site documentation
Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities Required
  • Experienced in Commercial Tenant Improvement projects, or Hotel renovations.
  • Technical, interpersonal, communication, supervision, and dispute resolution skills.
  • Understanding and accurately interpreting specifications.
  • Excellent organizational and multi-tasking capabilities.
  • Ability to prioritize, be pro‑active and tolerant to change in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Strong communication, problem solving and project leadership skills.
  • Self‑motivated, able to work and meet tight deadlines with minimal supervision.
  • A customer oriented approach to work; ability to work effectively with different people.
  • Ability to deal with multiple stakeholders, including hotel guests.

Experience and Education
  • 5 years experience commercial renovations, tenant improvements, or hotel renovations
  • First Aid (OFS Level 1) Certification required.

  • Basic knowledge of hand and power tools; familiarity with construction practices, carpentry skills, including framing, drywall installation, and finishing work is a plus.
  • Knowledge of Project Management software (Procore/PlanGrid/Autodesk Build).
  • Intermediate computer and MS skills (including MS Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint).
