EVOQ is a recognized leader in heritage conservation, architecture in First Nations and Inuit communities, and contemporary architecture. As part of our ongoing development, we are looking for a Site Supervisor for several of our NUNAVIK sites. The position is based in the northern regions of Quebec (Nunavik) and Canada (Nunavut). It is effective immediately until the end of the year, with the possibility of extension from January to May 2025.

The selected candidate will be responsible, under the Supervision of the Project Manager, as follows:
· Monitor and review work to ensure compliance with contract documents.
· Ensure quality of execution through compliance with the construction details required in the plans and specifications.
· Read and interpret plans and specifications, compare them with the work and report any discrepancies.
· Analyze jobsite situations or events and help professionals establish or validate scopes of work that are additional to or deviate from contract documents.
· Prepare daily progress reports (including progress photos).
· Ensure optimal communication between the various parties involved.
· Participate in or lead on-site site meetings.
· Participate in meetings with project managers and work teams.
· Encourage site managers to comply with construction site safety rules.
· Perform any other related tasks as requested by the Project Manager.
The ideal candidate must be bilingual and have 3 years' relevant experience in site supervision. A background in architectural technology or training as an architect is preferred.
In the absence of specific training, demonstration of highly relevant site supervision experience will be required. -
· Hold ASP certification (Health and Safety Course on Construction Sites). -
· Training in working at heights (an asset).-
· Valid driver's license. -
· Fluency in spoken and written French.
· Understanding English because many partners/suppliers in Nunavut communicate in English.
