Role Description

The Site Supervisor is a full-time, hybrid role based in Oshawa, ON, with a combination of on-site presence and some work from home for planning and administrative tasks. This role oversees day-to-day site operations, including coordinating trades, managing schedules, and ensuring work is completed safely, on time, and to quality standards. The Site Supervisor monitors construction progress, conducts site inspections, resolves on-site issues, and enforces health and safety regulations. They communicate regularly with project managers, subcontractors, suppliers, and clients to provide updates, clarify requirements, and address concerns. The role also includes reviewing plans and specifications, organizing materials and equipment, documenting site activities, and contributing to continuous improvement of site processes.

Qualifications

• Experience supervising residential construction sites, including custom homes, renovations, or additions.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, building codes, safety regulations, and quality standards.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with clients, trades, and internal teams.
• Proven ability to manage schedules, coordinate multiple trades, and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Competence with basic digital tools (email, project documentation, and construction-related software or apps).
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to various job sites within Oshawa, Durham Region, and surrounding areas.
• Demonstrated commitment to workplace health and safety and a clean, organized job site.
• Experience in custom home building or high-end residential projects is an asset.
• Relevant technical diploma, apprenticeship, or equivalent hands-on experience in construction supervision is preferred.
