Role Overview

As a Site Superintendent, you will play a pivotal role in managing on-site operations for Building Envelope projects. Your leadership will ensure projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Project Planning & Scheduling – Collaborate with the Project Scheduler to develop detailed project plans and schedules.
  • Team Leadership – Supervise, coordinate, and schedule daily activities of trades and subcontractors, ensuring project timelines and quality standards are met.
  • Safety Enforcement – Champion a culture of safety by ensuring all personnel use personal protective equipment (PPE) and comply with health and safety regulations.
  • Quality Assurance – Oversee Building Envelope installations to ensure compliance with company policies, engineering standards, and project specifications.
  • Resource Coordination – Work closely with the Project Coordinator to manage material needs and ensure timely deliveries.
  • Documentation & Reporting – Maintain accurate daily logs, review and submit employee timesheets, and provide regular progress reports to the Construction Project Manager.
  • Stakeholder Communication – Attend site meetings with trades and engineers, actively resolving any issues that arise.

Qualifications

  • Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience as a Construction Site Superintendent, with a strong background in Building Envelope projects.
  • Education: Degree or diploma in a related field, along with relevant bonding and certifications.
  • Skills: Strong negotiation, conflict resolution, and people management abilities. Ability to develop realistic project schedules and implement cost control measures.
  • Knowledge: Comprehensive understanding of health and safety regulations, quality control, and construction project management.
  • Attributes: Ability to prioritize tasks, manage conflicting demands, delegate effectively, and monitor progress to ensure successful project completion.
