Job summary

SIROY is seeking a seasoned construction superintendent to lead high-end residential projects from Montreal to Mont-Tremblant. You will coordinate carpenters, subcontractors, suppliers, and the project manager to turn plans into reality while upholding quality, safety, and schedule.

You excel at planning, reading plans, and solving on-site challenges. You bring years of field leadership, strong organisation, and clear communication with trades and clients.

Qualifications

• Experience as a superintendent/foreman or comparable role.
• Worked in high-end residential construction, major renovations, or on complex projects.
• Solid knowledge of construction methods, sequences, structure, building envelope, and finishing.
• Able to read plans and specifications with ease.
• Plan several steps in advance and anticipate next actions.
• Strong judgment with a knack for solving problems.
• Self-reliant, highly organized, and proactive.
• Clear communication with trades, professionals, and clients.
• Comfortable using digital site monitoring tools.
• Hold a valid ASP Construction certificate.
• Hold a valid driver's license and be able to travel between sites.
• Journeyman carpenter-joiner card and hands-on tools experience are assets.

Responsibilities

• Review plans, specifications, technical details, and project objectives.
• Plan short-term work according to the overall schedule.
• Organize work sequences and anticipate next steps.
• Coordinate carpentry teams, subcontractors, suppliers, and deliveries.
• Ensure everyone has information, materials, and access.
• Monitor daily progress and report deviations from the schedule.
• Check quality of execution and adherence to plans and quotes.
• Inspect the work before it is covered.
• Lead site meetings and ensure follow-up on decisions.
• Document project progress with reports, photos, and management tools.
• Ensure health and safety and maintain a clean, organized worksite.
• Coordinate inspections, follow up on deficiencies, and site closure.

Your Role

You will be the key contact person on the construction site. You will work closely with the project manager, our team leaders, our carpenters, and our partners. Your role will be to transform plans into reality while maintaining the level of quality expected at SIROY. Specifically, you will be responsible for: Reviewing plans, specifications, technical details, and project objectives; Planning short-term work according to the overall schedule; Organizing work sequences and anticipating next steps; Coordinating our carpentry teams, subcontractors, suppliers, and deliveries; Ensuring everyone has the necessary information, materials, and access; Monitoring daily progress and promptly reporting any deviations from the schedule; Checking the quality of execution and adherence to plans and Quotes; Inspect the work before it is covered; Identify technical issues, document situations, and propose solutions; Lead site meetings and ensure follow-up on decisions; Document the project's progress with our reports, photos, and management tools; Ensure health and safety and maintain a clean and well-organized worksite; Coordinate inspections, follow-up on deficiencies, and site closure.

The objective: to move the project forward efficiently, without ever sacrificing quality, safety, or respect for everyone's work.

The ideal candidate

We are looking for someone who is passionate about construction and knows how to lead a team without raising their voice.

You Must

• Have several years of experience Experience as a superintendent, foreman, or in a comparable role; Have worked in high-end residential construction, major renovations, or on complex projects; Have a good understanding of construction methods and sequences; Be very comfortable reading plans and specifications; Have solid knowledge of structure, building envelope, and finishing; Be able to plan several steps in advance; Have sound judgment and a knack for finding solutions; Be self-reliant and highly organized; Communicate clearly with tradespeople, professionals, and clients; Be comfortable using digital site monitoring tools; Hold a valid ASP Construction certificate; Hold a valid driver's license and be able to travel between sites Construction sites.

A journeyman carpenter-joiner card and hands-on experience with tools are significant assets.
