Hollis Developments is looking for a Site Superintendent to join our growing commercial construction team. We pride ourselves on integrity, safety, and quality work. We are seeking a motivated and experienced individual to lead site operations on commercial construction projects. Role: Site Superintendent

Compensation: Competitive total compensation including benefits and company truck, $80,000-$120,000 based on experience

Role Type: Full Time, 40+ hours per week, based on project demands

Requirements: Minimum 5 years of experience in commercial construction; Valid Alberta Driver’s License & clean driving record; willingness to work & stay out of town during the week as required

AS A SITE SUPERINTENDENT, YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR THE FOLLOWING:

• Oversee daily operations on the construction site to ensure the project is completed on time, within budget, and to a high standard of quality
• Coordinate and supervise all on-site construction activities, including subcontractors, trades, and labourers
• Enforce compliance with safety regulations, company policies, and project specifications
• Manage site documentation, including daily logs, safety reports, and inspections
• Use technology and software to document and track progress, communicate with the project team, and maintain organized records
• Collaborate with project managers, clients, and consultants to communicate progress and resolve issues
• Schedule and monitor work to maintain timelines and minimize delays
• Proactively identify and mitigate risks to ensure a safe and efficient job site
• Maintain a clean and organized site, ensuring tools and materials are secured and accounted for

YOU HAVE THE FOLLOWING SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in commercial construction, including supervisory responsibilities
• Proven ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and schedules
• In-depth knowledge of construction methods, materials, building code, and practices within Alberta
• Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to manage diverse teams
• Strong proficiency with technology, cloud systems, Microsoft products, and construction-related software; experience with Microsoft Project and other project management tools is an asset
• Familiarity with construction safety standards and procedures
• Exceptional organizational and problem-solving abilities
• A commitment to quality, safety, and team collaboration
• Willingness to work out of town during the week

YOU WILL BE ABLE TO WORK IN THE FOLLOWING CONDITIONS:

• Working both indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions
• Physically active work, including walking the site and occasional lifting
• Working while wearing PPE is required, including CSA-approved footwear and safety gear
