Be a part of the initial team to grow and operate a regionally significant new underground mine development that is rapidly becoming the future of the iconic Red Lake gold mining district in Ontario, Canada.
Reporting to the Mill Superintendent, the Site Services Operator will be responsible to safely support site surface operations through a variety of tasks and duties. The successful candidate will work locally on a 5/2-4/3 schedule.
The focus of this role will include:
Complies with all safety requirements and observes all company policies and procedures
Support site infrastructure/buildings, both interior and exterior maintenance needs with direction from supervision
Trouble shoot equipment when it is not functioning properly
Operating a variety of mobile equipment to maintain the waste management facilities and site roads in a safe, sustainable and environmentally effective manner
General labourer duties
Other duties as may be required
Skills and Experience:
Minimum Grade 12 education or GED
3 years’ of relevant work experience
Carpentry experience considered an asset
Valid Driver’s license
Experience on loader, forklift, and other mobile heavy equipment
Ability and willingness to perform manual labour as required for this position
Ability to take direction and be a team player
Ability and willingness to work outdoors – in all elements
Excellent reading, writing and communication skills are essential
Self motivated
