Qualifications

• 1 to 3 years of experience as Site Reliability Engineer in a fast-paced environment.
• Good understanding of core OCI and GCP cloud concepts; Compute, Storage, Networks, Databases (Oracle DbaaS, Cloud SQL), Kubernetes.
• Hands-on experience deploying cloud resources using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible, GitLab CI/CD).
• Good understanding of OS concepts and troubleshooting OS issues (Oracle Linux, SUSE, Rocky, Windows).
• Cloud observability, monitoring and alerting with Grafana and Prometheus.
• Good understanding of database concepts (Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL).
• Knowledge of Oracle 19c, RAC, Enterprise Manager and GoldenGate is an asset.
• Familiar with SRE principles; proactive, collaborative, and able to handle issues.
• Strong communication and ability to prioritize multiple projects.
• Understanding of CI/CD, version control, IaC and automated deployment practices.
• Familiarity with Generative AI and LLM concepts; prompts, tokens, context windows, model responses.

Site Reliability Engineer I,

The Site Reliability Engineer I will run the production environment by monitoring availability and taking a holistic view of system health. You will build tools and systems to manage platform infrastructure and applications; improve reliability, quality, and time-to-market of our suite of cloud-native solutions; and measure and optimize system performance – all with an eye toward pushing our capabilities forward, getting ahead of customer needs, and innovating to continually improve.

What You’ll Do:

• Design, build, and champion automated solutions to optimize application/service/platform uptime with minimal human intervention.
• Responsbile for maintaining availability of business critical systems deployed on OCI and GCP. Provide on-call support as required.
• Enhance our infrastructure, tooling, and processes to extend operability as a self-service function for other groups in the engineering value stream.
• Collaborate with diverse agile teams (i.e Architects, Developers, Security, and other Operations engineers) on designing and implementing highly reliable solutions.
• Embrace Site Reliability Engineering principles of proactivity, automation, cross-functional collaboration, fast+safe failing to continually improve our technology and culture.
• Improve infrastructure, tooling and operational processes to reduce toil, accelerate delivery and increase operational efficiency.

What you Bring:

• 1 to 3 years of experience of working as Site Reliability Engineer in fast paced environment.
• Good understanding of core OCI and GCP cloud concepts ; Compute, Storage, Networks, Databases (Oracle DbaaS, Cloud SQL), Kubernetes
• Hands on experience on deploying cloud resources using Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, Ansible, Gitlab CI/CD.
• Good understanding of OS concepts and exposure of troubleshooting issues related to OS (Oracle Linux, Suse, Rocky and Windows).
• Cloud observability, monitoring and alerting using Grafana and Prometheus.
• Good understanding of database concepts and exposure of deployments and troubleshooting issues related to database for Oracle, PostgreSQL and MySQL databases.
• Good understanding of Oracle 19c, RAC, Oracle Enterprise Manager and GoldenGate will be an asset.
• Familiar with SRE principles and avid problem solver, and willing to roll up your sleeves to take on any issue thrown your way.
• You are highly responsive, have a customer-first mindset, able to prioritize and track multiple projects in parallel.
• Highly collaborative with effective written and verbal communication skills. Understanding of incident management, root-cause analysis, problem management and production support.
• Strong understanding of CI/CD, version control, infrastructure as code and automated deployment practices.
• Understanding of fundamental Generative AI and Large Language Model (LLM) concepts, including prompts, tokens, context windows and model responses.
• Basic knowledge of AI-assisted automation and how AI can help reduce repetitive operational tasks.
• Awareness of common AI considerations including accuracy, data privacy, security and responsible use of AI.
