Job description

With over 30,000 customers, including a third of Fortune 500 companies, Tempo is trusted by organizations across the globe to make their workflows work better.

We create a suite of integrated solutions for time management, resource planning, budget management, roadmapping, program management, reporting and more. We create the tech that enables the modern team to deliver – for every step from first vision to value.

Since our beginning in 2007 as a project to make a time-tracking tool to help a client – Tempo has expanded to become the #1 time management add-on for Jira, and we have developed and acquired a multitude of tools to become one of the most trusted names in the Atlassian ecosystem.

We want everyone to work better – but we also want to be a tech company with a heart. Join us as we continuously innovate our award-winning products, create new solutions, and help the world work smarter, not harder.

About the role:

As a Site Reliability Engineer (SRE), you’ll join our team in building the infrastructure needed to support the rest of our engineering department. You’ll help to create a stable foundation for our engineers to build off of and tools that are highly available, cost efficient and extensible. As we continue to scale and embrace the devops culture, this team will be looked to for guidance and mentorship.

We’re looking for someone who is excited to learn, a great team player, and strives for doing the right things the first time around - knowing that it may take longer but understands that there’s a balance to be achieved and the importance of quality.

What you’ll do:

  • Design and Build CI/CD pipelines

  • Automate key processes, including build, release, and monitoring (alerting and observability), in the development and deployment of both infrastructure and products

  • Participate in a rotating on-call duty to support the application

  • Mentor and collaborate with team members and other staff to further develop a DevOps culture

  • Design and execute technical solutions

  • Work with latest technology like Kubernetes

  • Ensuring our AWS based platform continues to scale as we do

  • A build champion, implementing changes that improve speed and quality

  • Contributing to our monitoring, alerting, and recovery pipelines

  • Design projects that improve our production environment

Who you are:

  • 4+ years of relevant work experience in a SaaS environment

  • Proficiency with AWS or other cloud-hosted services

  • Solid understanding of software design patterns

  • Software development skills and proficient in at least one language

  • Experience in the testing and deployment of complex software solutions in a fast-paced, cloud environment

  • Experience working with Kubernetes

  • Experience with RUM, tracing, monitoring and other important metrics.

  • Demonstrated ability to learn quickly and pick up new technologies

  • Highly analytical with a passion for finding solutions to tough problems

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills

Why Join Tempo?

  • Impact: Work on meaningful products that empower enterprise users and improve productivity.

  • Innovation: Be part of a culture that values creativity and innovation, with opportunities to make a real impact.

  • Collaboration: Join a supportive, collaborative UX team that values openness, communication, and a continuous learning environment.
