Job Description

In order to meet our ongoing needs in a growth environment, EBC is seeking site office managers. Under the supervision of the project manager, the office manager ensures the smooth operation of the administrative services at the site.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the work of one or more site clerks depending on the project size.
  • Ensure compliance in the preparation and processing of weekly payroll.
  • Supervise and support site clerks in updating employee records, hiring, termination, and compiling hours.
  • Operate machinery, manage fuel assignments, handle worker logistics such as air tickets and accommodations, oversee construction communications, and office supplies.
  • Conduct final checks of various reports.
  • Responsible for subcontractor orders.
  • Support the superintendent and project manager with payroll, transportation, union issues, etc.
  • Develop tools and processes to ensure efficient administrative operations at the site.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years experience in a site clerk position.
  • Possession of a professional or technical diploma in administration or accounting (asset).
  • Thorough knowledge of construction payroll preparation (essential).
  • High availability and mobility, with projects across Ontario.
