The Site Planner is responsible for developing, maintaining, and monitoring the site project schedule and plans for construction activities on-site. The role ensures that work is planned efficiently, resources are optimized, and deadlines are met, all while adhering to health, safety, and environmental standards.
Essential Responsibilities
- Schedule management: The Project Planner oversees the site project schedule management, ensuring its quality and accuracy.
- Integrate detailed subcontractor and partner schedule activities into the STS with proper alignment, structure, coding, and weighting. - Coordination: The Project Planner collaborates with other planners as part of the overall integrated project plan and with site execution functions (construction, commissioning, completion) to ensure schedule quality and accuracy.
- Coordinate and monitor subcontractor schedules, ensuring proper interfacing between subcontractor and GE schedules with support from the package manager and subcontractors.
- Manage activities related to WTG access (pre-assembled tower, nacelles) for construction and commissioning, focusing on punch list closure priorities. - Project management support: Support the Lead Project Planner and Project Director by providing visibility on:
- Short-term (daily/weekly) and mid-term (3-6 weeks) look-ahead tasks.
- Develop site schedule reports, including status, critical path, risks, and mitigation actions.
- Identify schedule opportunities and provide relevant reports for project management to facilitate decision-making.
- Record and update progress on Hub KPIs (e.g., load-out readiness, work progress).
- Compile DPRs for hub activities with the help of the cost controller and site package manager.
- Generate schedule analyses to identify delays, critical paths, recovery plans, and acceleration schedules.
Qualifications/Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Math, Science, or equivalent experience.
- Deep and proven experience in project planning.
- Expertise in Primavera P6 planning tool.
Skills and Details
- Good communication skills with stakeholders.
- Ability to create automatic KPIs and reports using Excel, Smartsheet, or other tools.
- Proficiency in P6 Planning tool.
- Located on-site daily at Nigg Port, Inverness, Scotland.
- Willingness to travel to the UK for business meetings.
