We are searching for a Site Manager to join our Maplestone Enhanced Care team based in Halifax, Nova Scotia.

About the Opportunity

Reporting to the Regional Director of Operations, the Site Manager will plan, administer, and evaluate resident care programs, provide leadership in an interdisciplinary setting, and act as the site manager. This position is ideal for a seasoned Nurse Manager interested in working in a growing organization to deliver comprehensive clinical services to residents and staff.

  • Directs, promotes, and evaluates resident care and nursing standards to ensure wellness for residents. Provides consultation on resident issues and standards to nursing staff and the interdisciplinary team.
  • Establishes and maintains guidelines to ensure optimal resident care.
  • Recommends and initiates long-term planning strategies for healthcare improvement.
  • Monitors accreditation and regulatory compliance.
  • Supervises and evaluates subordinate staff, including performance reviews, training, disciplinary actions, and work assignments.
  • Manages the clinical department's operating budget, recommending cost-effective resource use.
  • Encourages relationships with external organizations to meet resident and community needs.
  • Participates in continuing education to maintain credentials and increase expertise.
  • Ensures health and safety in the workplace by providing supervision, training, and necessary equipment.

About You

Valuing continuous improvement, collaboration, and accountability, you bring:

  • A Bachelor of Science in Nursing, Master’s preferred, with at least 10 years of nursing experience.
  • Current registration with the College of Registered Nurses of Nova Scotia.
  • Knowledge of nursing theory, trends, and practices.
  • Knowledge of supervision, organization, and administration principles.
  • Understanding of operational and personnel regulations, collective agreements, and long-term care regulations.
  • Service-minded, results-oriented, and open to change and innovation.
