Job description

Reporting to the Capital Projects Manager, you will be part of the Capital Projects Department. You will be aware of all detailed project contract and sub-contract documents, including the plans and specifications described in the contract documents. You will play an important part in the construction activities follow-up at the project site. You will ensure that the goals and objectives are achieved while promoting and respecting Agnico Eagle’s values, Health & Safety Code of Conduct and the environment.

  • Contribute to the contractual approach and contractual strategy with contract agent/administrator
  • Examining, analyzing and revising contracts that involve the purchase or sale of goods or services such as equipment, materials, supplies, or products
  • Review of drawings, specifications and contracts to ensure that appropriate equipment, materials and subcontractor services are ordered or purchased
  • Management of contract work relating to contracts
  • Do trend analysis associated to contract
  • Establishment or negotiation of contractual conditions for contract change
  • Conduct site weekly meetings with contractors
  • Monitor delivery schedules, work progress and communicate with customers and suppliers to solve problems
  • Collaboration with Engineering Lead, Project Leads, Construction Superintendent, Engineers, and others to ensure project objectives are met
  • Contractual change control relating to cost and time
  • Payment certification and cash flow forecast
  • Claim administration and negotiation
  • Maintain various contract registers and as per project-specific instructions
  • Drive the deliverables and inputs as required from the quantity surveyors
  • Contract close-out
  • Bachelor’s degree in administration, finance, law, engineering, or another relevant field
  • 3-5 years of experience in contract administration
  • Mining and/or large-scale construction project experience
  • Excellent working knowledge of all Microsoft Office Suite applications especially Outlook, Excel, Word & PowerPoint.

Your Work Schedule:

  • Schedule: 4 days of work, followed by 3 days for transportation and rest at our Detour Lake Mine
  • Accommodations and meals are provided on site at no cost to the employee. Agnico Eagle provides transportation to and from the mine site and will accommodate to cover other travelling expenses according to your location of residence in Canada.
