Job summary

Northern Strands Group of Companies is seeking an Industrial Mechanic/Millwright Journeyperson for site-based work across Saskatchewan. The role involves installing, dismantling, and servicing large industrial equipment in mining and construction settings.

You will troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems, read diagrams and specs, and emphasize safety and quality workmanship. Applicants with Journeyperson status or apprenticeship progress are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• Must provide proof of Industrial Mechanic (Millwright) Journeyperson certificate or apprentice level status; qualified Journeyperson preferred.
• Experience in moving, assembling, disassembling, troubleshooting, and repairing machinery and equipment.
• Experience with high-quality inspections, repairs, and maintenance of mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic equipment on-site and commissioning would be an asset.

Responsibilities

• Assemble new industrial and construction equipment.
• Utilize specialized tools such as torque multipliers.
• Operate hoisting and lifting devices.
• Align equipment using specialized tools.
• Identify differences in dimensions and shapes of components.
