Job summary

Shoppers Drug Mart in Calgary is hiring a facilities operations role to oversee the visitor and colleague entrance at the warehouse, and to coordinate with vendors for maintenance and projects.

You will support day-to-day production activities, health and safety reporting, onboarding of colleagues, organize events, and prepare site reports. A college diploma and 1–3 years’ experience are expected; proficiency with MS Office is required.

  • Ability to apply well-defined procedures and adapt to occasional unusual circumstances.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and MS Office skills.
  • 1–3 years of work experience.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee visitor/colleague entrance at the warehouse.
  • Coordinate with vendors for facility maintenance and projects.
  • Assist with day-to-day production activities during downtime.
  • Health and safety reporting.
  • Assist in resolving facilities issues.
  • Organize colleague events and onboarding.
  • Prepare and submit operations reports.
  • Order supplies and GNFR.
  • Absenteeism tracking.

What you’ll do:
  • Oversee Visitor / colleague entrance and receiving door at the warehouse during day shift
  • Coordinate with vendors for facility maintenance/improvements or for projects
  • Assist with day‑to‑day production activities during downtime and as needed during peak periods
  • Health and Safety reporting
  • Assist in resolving facilities issues
  • Organize Colleague events
  • Colleague onboarding
  • Operations reports submitted by site managers
  • Ordering of all supplies and GNFR
  • Absenteeism tracking
  • Review and adjust site policies as required
  • Compile reporting of policy adherence
  • Support supervisors in onboarding and training of new colleagues for Central Vial at the Mississauga site
  • Maintain relationship with GNFR / Service vendors
  • Commitment to promoting a workplace of inclusiveness and belonging
What you bring:
  • College Diploma
  • Knowledge about various work‑related assignments and routines; capable of applying methods or procedures which are generally well‑defined and straightforward, but able to adapt to meet occasional, unusual circumstances.
  • Skill in organizing and coordinating may be needed
  • Organization, Communication, moderate analytical knowledge, comfort with MS Suite
  • 1‑3 years of work experience
