Site Access Coordinator

The Site Access Coordinator is responsible for ensuring a smooth, safe, and efficient onboarding process for contractors and new employees arriving at the Cote Gold mine site. This role acts as the first point of contact for arrivals, managing access control, orientation, and training validation to maintain safety, security, and compliance. The successful candidate will serve as an ambassador for all site arrivals, ensuring onboarding requirements are fulfilled before individuals access the site and begin work.

Key Responsibilities

Area 1: Site Access Process

• Greet and direct new employees and contractors upon arrival at the West Gate.
• Verify all required documentation, including Site Orientation, Driving Privileges, and identification, before granting site access.
• Provide guidance on site rules, policies, PPE requirements, traffic, and radio policies.
• Develop and maintain a standardized onboarding checklist to ensure all processes, including site access approvals, are completed.

Work closely with contractors to review documents before access is granted, improve procedures, and support documentation and data entry related to site access.

Area 2: Welcoming New Employees

• Coordinate with HR and the New Hire Department to confirm arrival schedules.
• Welcome employees upon arrival, conduct facility tours, validate reservations, confirm transportation, and ensure employees have contact information and reporting instructions.

Area 3: Visitor Coordination

• Lead safety briefings and provide PPE to visitors.
• Facilitate smooth access and movement within the site, coordinating activities like meals, accommodations, and transportation with relevant departments.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements and Nice-to-Haves

• College Diploma in a related field, preferably Project Management.
• 8+ years of experience in an industrial environment.
• Experience in remote camp settings and strong safety leadership.
• Proficiency with MS Office and site access management systems.
• Excellent organization, independence, teamwork, time management, and ability to handle multiple priorities.
• Valid Driver’s license and ability to travel within the site.
