Job summary

Trail Appliances is seeking a Single Family Builder Sales Representative to meet and exceed sales targets within the BC territory, developing and maintaining relationships with builders, developers, designers and homeowners. The role is primarily field-based, with travel to job sites and occasional in-store meetings to demonstrate products.

Compensation includes a guaranteed training salary of $75,000 for the first year, with in-house and manufacturer incentives.

Qualifications

• Excellent relationship builder with strong customer service skills.

• Consultative sales approach with a track record for exceeding targets.
• Sales experience in a B2B or key account management role an asset.
• Experience in the building or renovation industry is an asset.
• Experience in managing accounts with a sales cycle of 3–12 months.
• Results- and solution-focused, with strong negotiation and time management skills.
• Ability to coordinate inter-departmental communications to achieve shared objectives.
• Ability to articulate the company’s core value propositions to create a market advantage.
• Fluency in a second language is considered an asset.

• Posts brochures, signs and any other distinguishing media at job sites.
• Provide clients with timely, accurate quotations and product specifications, logging customer interaction and continuous follow up.
• Build relationships by going above and beyond to provide exceptional service.

The Single Family Builder Sales Representative will be responsible for meeting and exceeding Sales and Revenue targets for their assigned territory and customer base. The successful candidate will be required to develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including, but not limited to builders, developers, designers and homeowners. As a master relationship builder, the candidate will have a proven record of communicating a company’s value proposition and delivering best in class service as a way to secure new and repeat business.

The Single Family Builder Sales Representative will primarily spend time on the road within the territory working with builders and developers directly. However, this person will also be required to meet customer’s in-store to demonstrate product and determine which products are best suited to meet the needs of the project.

• This is a commission plus bonus opportunity, To set you up for success during your first year:
• First 12 months: guaranteed training salary of $75,000. During this time, you also can earn in‑house and manufacturer incentives.
• After 12 months, your compensation will be changed to the standard Account Manager, single family long-term compensation package
