On behalf of our public sector client, Affinity is looking for a SimCorp Business System Analyst to work on an IBOR/Conversion project to lead the design, configuration, and optimization of SimCorp Dimension modules, including Transaction Processing, Portfolio Calculation, and IBOR. Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business needs into system requirements, support IBOR conversion, and ensure data integrity in investment finance and NAV processes. Act as a liaison between business, IT, and vendors, driving issue resolution, process improvements, and system enhancements while ensuring clear documentation and effective cross-functional communication.

Responsibilities:

• Design and Configure SimCorp Dimension (SCD):

o Lead solution design and configuration activities within SimCorp Dimension.

o Work with modules such as Transaction Processing, Portfolio Calculation, Back Office, Filter Toolbox, and Alternative Investments Manager.

o Customize and optimize SCD setups to align with AIMCo’s business needs and processes.

• IBOR Conversion and Implementation:

o Support the conversion and implementation of IBOR (Investment Book of Record) functionalities.

o Ensure data integrity and accuracy during IBOR transition and ongoing operations.

• Investment Finance and NAV Processes:

o Apply domain expertise in investment finance and net asset valuation (NAV) to support system configurations and reporting.

o Collaborate with finance and accounting teams to ensure compliance and accuracy of financial data.

o Work closely with stakeholders to translate high-level conceptual ideas into specific and actionable business requirements.

o Conduct gap analysis and define business features aligned with user needs and system capabilities.

• Problem Solving and Root Cause Analysis:

o Investigate system and process issues, perform detailed root cause analyses, and propose robust solutions.

o Ensure minimal disruption to operations and effective resolution of incidents.

o Act as a liaison between business users, IT teams, and SimCorp support to ensure coherent understanding of system changes.

o Coordinate with front, middle, and back-office teams to ensure integrated and streamlined processes.

• Documentation and Communication:

o Produce high-quality documentation including business requirements, configuration specs, and test plans.

o Communicate effectively across technical and non-technical audiences.

• Operational and Process Support:

o Provide operational support during project implementation and post-deployment phases.

o Help develop and refine workflows and process improvements based on system capabilities.

Qualifications:

Must Have:

• 5+ years Demonstrated experience with solution design and configurations in SimCorp Dimension (for example, configuration experience in Transaction processing, Portfolio Calculation, Back office module, Filter Toolbox, Alternative Investments Manager)

• 5+ years Demonstrated experience with an investment finance or net asset valuation domains

Nice to Have:

• 3+ years Demonstrated ability to identify and translate high level, conceptual user requirements into specific business requirements (features) with attention to detail, and analytical skills to solve problems, research, and perform root cause analysis, to guide development activities.

• 3+ years Demonstrated experience in a role from which strong operational knowledge, with a view of investment management industry, including experience in front, middle and back-office processing.

• 3+ years Demonstrated experience in roles requiring strong verbal and written communication skills
