Job summary

Bridgenext is seeking a SimCorp Business Analyst in a hybrid Toronto role to act as a subject matter expert for the SimCorp Dimension platform. You will gather requirements, configure systems, and ensure investment lifecycle needs are met.

Responsibilities include workshops, system configuration, data integration, testing, documentation, and post-go-live support while collaborating with stakeholders and vendors.

Qualifications

• 4–8+ years of business analysis experience in the financial/investment industry with hands-on experience with SimCorp Dimension.
• Deep knowledge of financial instruments and investment lifecycle.
• Proficiency in SQL and relational databases for data analysis.
• Familiarity with data integration tools (ETL, XML, message queues, APIs).

Responsibilities

• Gather requirements through workshops and stakeholder interviews to capture and document requirements, processes, and acceptance criteria.
• Configure the SimCorp Dimension platform modules (Accounting, Performance, Data Integration, Settlements, Collateral Management).
• Participate in all project phases: design, configuration, data conversion, integration, and post-go-live stabilization; provide second/third line support.
• Create test cases, support SIT/UAT, validate results, and develop user documentation and training materials.
• Analyze existing processes to identify inefficiencies and drive automation improvements.
• Coordinate with business, technology teams and external vendors/clients to ensure alignment.
• Design and validate ETL patterns and data flows between SimCorp and other systems.

Position Description

A SimCorp Business Analyst (BA) job description involves acting as a subject matter expert for the SimCorp Dimension platform, gathering requirements, configuring the system, and ensuring business needs in the investment management lifecycle are met.

Responsibilities Include

• Requirements Gathering: Conduct workshops and interviews with stakeholders (front, middle, and back office) to capture, analyze, and document detailed business and functional requirements, process flows, and acceptance criteria
• System Configuration: Translate business requirements into system designs and hands-on configuration within various SimCorp Dimension modules (e.g., Accounting, Performance, Data Integration, Settlements, Collateral Management)
• Implementation & Support: Participate in all aspects of implementation projects, including system design, configuration, data conversion/migration, integration, and post-go-live stabilization. Provide 2nd or 3rd line support for system issues and incidents
• Testing & Documentation: Prepare test cases, support System Integration Testing (SIT) and User Acceptance Testing (UAT), validate results, and create user documentation and training materials
• Process Improvement: Analyze existing operational processes within SimCorp to identify inefficiencies, recommend improvements, and enhance automation
• Stakeholder Communication: Act as a liaison between business teams, technology teams, and external vendors/clients to ensure clear communication and solution alignment
• Data Management: Work with data vendor feeds (Bloomberg, Reuters), manage master and reference data issues, and design/validate integration patterns and ETL processes between SimCorp and other systems

Must Have Skills

• Experience:
  • Typically requires 4-8+ years of business analysis experience within the financial/investment industry, with specific hands-on experience with the SimCorp Dimension platform .
• Domain Knowledge:
  • Deep knowledge of financial instruments (fixed income, equities, derivatives, FX, structured securities)
  • Strong understanding of the investment lifecycle and workflows, including trading, settlement, corporate actions, reconciliation, and general ledger/subledger accounting
  • Knowledge of IBOR (Investment Book of Record) and ABOR (Accounting Book of Record) concepts
• Technical Skills:
  • Proficiency in SQL and relational databases for data analysis and troubleshooting
  • Familiarity with data integration tools (ETL, XML, message queues, APIs)
• Soft Skills:
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills
  • Excellent communication (written and verbal), presentation, and stakeholder management skills
