PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:
Reporting directly to the Senior Director of Signals & Communication (S&C) Systems, the S&C Operations Specialist plays a pivotal role in managing the recruitment efforts for both the Signals & Communication Construction team and the Signal Maintainer Apprentice Program. This position works in partnership with senior leadership to identify staffing needs across multiple seniority districts and collaborates closely with the Technical Training team to plan and coordinate onboarding processes and apprenticeship training schedules. To accommodate diverse candidates and operational needs, we are accepting applications from across Eastern Canada, with flexibility regarding the applicant's location.

Medical and Drug Testing
This is a safety sensitive position and a successful pre-employment medical assessment including physical, vision, hearing, and a negative company drug test is required. Post hire qualification drug testing may also be required.
BECOMING A RAILROADER:
As an employee with a North American presence, the possibility does exist that the location of your position may be changed based on organizational requirements.
Management Conductor Program
Becoming a qualified conductor or locomotive engineer is the single best way for a management employee to learn the business at CPKC. You may be required to obtain a certification or to maintain your current certification/qualification as a conductor or locomotive engineer.
