Sorenson Communications is expanding its Video Relay Service and seeks interpreters to provide Sign-to-Voice and Voice-to-Sign interpreting services. Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Interpret effectively between American Sign Language (ASL) and spoken English.
  • Maintain compliance with licensure and certification requirements.

Education

Job description

Salary Range : $-$ (depending on location, education, and certifications)

Location : Winnipeg, MB

Shifts : Available hours are Monday-Saturday, am-pm MT. (Initial shifts may include at least one shift on Monday, Friday, or Saturday upon hiring)

A successful candidate will have :

  • Ability to pass our skills assessment
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Associate’s or bachelor’s degree (preferred)
  • Relevant interpreting experience (preferred)
  • Ability to troubleshoot basic technical issues
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, regulated, customer-focused environment
  • Dexterity to operate computer equipment
  • Regular and predictable attendance
  • Active membership in good standing with CASLI
