Job summary

We’re looking to hire SIGINT Geospatial Analystsfrom diverse backgrounds to work in a dynamic and innovative operational environment. As a SIGINT Geospatial Analyst, you’ll manage and implement geospatial projects, provide geospatial solutions, and deliver complex analytical products to a wide array of internal customers.You’ll work closely with intelligence analysts, their teams, and decision-makers to provide expert geospatial advice. Your work will involve in-depth spatial analysis on different issues using a variety of data types.You’ll also research geospatial topics, explore and apply new technologies, techniques, and initiatives. In this role, you’ll also have the opportunity to mentor and train other analysts who are integrating geospatial methods into their own work.

We’re looking for people who are excited to learn and grow. You’ll deepen your understanding of telecommunications technology and analytical tools while collaborating with technical experts across CSE. Through training and mentoring, you’ll develop and strengthen the skills required to support operational efforts on matters of national security.

Essential qualifications

In order to be considered, your cover letter must clearly explain how you meet the following education and experience requirements :

Education

• A university degree in Geographic Information System (GIS), Geomatics, Geography
• A bachelor’s degree in any field along with a diploma or certificate in GIS.

Note : The educational program must be recognized in Canada, and you must be able to provide proof of education credentials. Students graduating within the next twelve months are eligible to apply.

Experience

Recent experience performing spatial analysis with desktop GIS applications, preferably ArcGIS Pro.

Recent experience using web GIS platforms like ESRI’s Portal, for :

Creating and sharing spatial data.

Creating web map applications like dashboards and story maps.

Experience applying geography, spatial analysis, and cartography knowledge on different issues.

Note : For the purposes of this hiring process, “recent” is defined as experience having normally been acquired within the last five years.
