As a Showroom Consultant / Admin Support, you will provide expert product selection assistance and design advice to our customers. You will ensure the highest levels of customer satisfaction to meet or exceed sales and gross profit targets while increasing profit-sharing.
Additional duties will include :
- Assist showroom customers in assessing their needs, directing their product selections, and closing the sale.
- Develop and build strong relationships with designers, home builders, and architects to grow profitable sales.
- Provide customers with quick, reliable quotes and accurate delivery dates.
- Meet or exceed monthly product-specific sales and gross profit targets.
- Enter orders and quotes in the system, expedite purchases, and maintain proactive communication with customers.
- Investigate and resolve customer issues; address short payments and returns promptly to exceed customer expectations and benefit the Profit Centre.
- Maintain product literature to ensure most current information is available to customers.
- Drive showroom sales through promotions and maintaining display materials.
- Understand and follow all safety regulations at customer locations and the Profit Centre.
- Perform other tasks as requested by the Profit Centre Manager.
- Handle invoicing and file daily sales records.
- Manage Cash Desk responsibilities, including posting payments and rectifying EOD debit/Visa machine issues.
Qualifications
- Grade 12 diploma or equivalent; College and/or University degree is an asset.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in customer service or sales; plumbing, kitchen, or bathroom showroom sales preferred.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driver’s abstract.
- Ability to gain comprehensive knowledge of products on display and suggest appropriate products to customers.
- Knowledge of kitchen and bath design trends.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office software.
- Outstanding customer service and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent relationship-building skills with customers, vendors, and teammates.
- Able to identify customer needs, provide solutions, and close sales.
- Possess excellent project management skills.
- Able to learn and operate the software system used for processing orders.
- Basic understanding of entry-level accounting is an asset.
Preferred Skills :
- Previous experience with or knowledge of products sold in plumbing, kitchen, or bathroom showrooms.
