Job summary

Degelman Industries LP in Regina, Canada, is seeking a Shotblast Operator to run the blast booth, ensuring throughput for the production line and proper surface preparation before painting.

You will inspect and prep fabricated steel components, hang them for efficient blasting, operate a forklift as needed, and assist with hanging and removing parts along the assembly line. Some decals, caulking, and assembly work may be required.

What will you do?

The purpose of the job is to operate a blast booth to clean fabricated steel components prior to painting.

  • Operate the blast booth at a rate that allows the production line to maintain throughput.
  • Inspect and prepare fabricated components prior to painting.
  • Hang fabricated components in a manner that allows the operator to blast efficiently and have access to all areas.
  • Forklift operation.
  • Hanging and removing parts from the assembly line.
  • Applying decals chipping, caulking and assembling product
Working Conditions:
  • Must be able to work with minimal supervision and direction.
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
  • This position requires shift work.
  • This position requires the wearing of protective breathing apparel, protective mask and headgear and the operation of a blasting gun dispersing pressures of up to 100 ft lbs.
  • Relevant training will be provided.
