Job summary

Kibbi Technologies Inc. in Milton, Ontario is seeking a truck driver to support on-site transportation of goods. You will plan routes, load and unload cargo, and operate trucks while ensuring safety and compliance with regulations.

The role requires 1 to less than 7 months of experience, a valid Class 1/A license with air brakes, and strong customer service and reliability. On-site work with opportunities for skill development in logistics and freight handling.

Qualifications

  • 1 to less than 7 months of truck driving experience.
  • Valid driver's license (Class 1 or A) required.
  • Air Brakes Endorsement is required or highly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Plan or adjust routes based on changing conditions, using GPS or other navigation devices, to minimize fuel consumption and carbon emissions.
  • Professionalism in customer service.
  • Load and unload goods.
  • Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials.
  • Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment.
  • Perform brake adjustments.
  • Perform emergency roadside repairs.
  • Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspections and oversee all aspects of vehicle.
  • Perform preventive maintenance.
  • Receive and relay information to central dispatch.
  • Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption.
  • Tarping and ensuring safety and security of cargo.
  • Transport and handle dangerous goods.
