Job summary

MSP Corp is seeking a Shopify Plus Developer to join our East team as we re-platform and scale our enterprise eCommerce capabilities. You will own the technical build—from a full theme rebuild to custom apps, checkout extensibility, and deep platform integrations.

You’ll collaborate closely with brand, marketing, and agency partners to deliver on an ambitious roadmap. Reporting to the eCommerce Digital Director, you’ll work hands-on across the full stack, ensuring SEO and content strategy are

Qualifications

• Experience with Shopify Plus and enterprise-scale eCommerce builds.
• Strong REST/GraphQL experience and backend logic.
• Proficiency in Liquid, HTML/CSS/JS and theme development.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and Git workflows.
• Ability to collaborate with brand, marketing, and agency partners.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain Shopify functionality across the full stack — themes, custom apps, and platform extensions.
• Lead the Shopify Horizon theme rebuild with a mobile‑first, performance‑first approach.
• Develop on Shopify Plus surfaces: Checkout Extensibility, Checkout UI Extensions, Shopify Functions, and Customer Accounts Extensibility.
• Implement and maintain integrations with core stack — Skio, LoyaltyLion, Yotpo, Georgias and Klaviyo.
• Own product data architecture through metafields and metaobjects.
• Ensure store performance under high‑traffic events such as drops and promotions.
• Participate in agile sprints with cross‑functional teams.

About this role

We’re looking for a Shopify Plus Developer to join our team! As we re‑platform and scale our digital experience, we’re building out our enterprise eCommerce capability. Reporting to the eCommerce Digital Director, the Shopify Plus Developer owns the technical build from a full theme rebuild to custom apps, checkout extensibility, and deep platform integrations. You’ll work hands‑on across the full stack and collaborate closely with our brand, marketing, and agency partners to bring an ambitious roadmap to life. SEO and content strategy are owned in-house; this role owns the implementation that makes them perform.

What you’ll own

As we re‑platform, this developer will own or lead an ambitious build roadmap. Active and upcoming work includes:

Theme Rebuild & Site Structure

• Full theme rebuild on Shopify Horizon with a clean, SEO‑sound heading structure
• Homepage, PDP, collection, and content‑page updates
• Figma design handoff and freelancer coordination
• Mobile‑first, Core Web Vitals‑optimized implementation
• Shopify Search & Discovery and filtering configuration

Customer Account Experience

• Custom logged‑in experience built on Customer Accounts Extensibility (Shopify Plus)
• Unified view of orders, subscriptions, loyalty, and preferences
• Integration across our subscription, loyalty, and email/SMS stack

Customer Preference Management

• Custom branded preference center where customers set email/SMS frequency and choose content and product interests
• Preferences drive Klaviyo flows and segmentation,so customers only get what they opted into
• Supports email‑gating and win‑back journeys

Subscriptions & Bundles

• Subscription and build‑your‑bundle logic for reorder frequency and bundle building
• App configuration and theme/PDP integration
• Subscription management surfaced in the customer account
• Metafieldsand metaobjects architecture to support product data at scale
• SKU audit and data‑governance implementation

Custom Storefront Features

• Interactive, logic‑driven components such as guided product‑recommendation tools
• Conversion‑optimized, mobile‑first UX
• Internationalization of the storefront: As we expand beyond North America, you’ll lead the strategic setup of Shopify Markets to support select international regions — navigating the localization, currency, tax, and content nuances of each market that are critical to a successful rollout

• Own product data architecture through meta fields and metaobjects.
• Ensure the store performs under high‑traffic events such as drops, flash sales, and promotional peaks.
• Own enterprise‑level Core Web Vitals and site performance.
• Maintain healthy delivery practices: CI/CD pipelines, Shopify GitHub integration, Git branching, QA, and testing.
• Participate in agile sprints with cross‑functional teams, including brand, marketing, and agency partners.

Requirements

• Shopify Admin API, Storefront API, and webhook management.
• REST andGraphQLAPI fluency, with backend logic and event‑driven architecture.
• Shopify Plus depth: Checkout Extensibility, Checkout UI Extensions, and Shopify Functions (discounts, shipping, payment logic).
• Customer Accounts Extensibility framework and UI Extensions.
• Frontend Shopify fluency: Liquid, HTML/CSS/JS, theme sections, and Figma‑to‑code.
• Integration experience with email/SMS (Klaviyo) and reviews/loyalty platforms (Yotpo,LoyaltyLion).
• Product data management withmetafieldsand metaobjects.
• CI/CD pipelines, Git branching strategy, and deployment workflows.
• High‑traffic performance handling and Core Web Vitals ownership.

Preferred

• Shopify Flow automation, Launchpad, and multi‑store management.
• ERP/OMS integration experience, ideally NetSuite.
• Subscription & bundle platform experience, ideallySkio.
• Experience coordinating with design freelancers and external agency partners.
