Job summary

Winobell Inc. in Toronto, Canada, seeks a senior Shopify backend architect to own the platform, build custom apps, and lead integrations across ERP, OMS, inventory, and CRM.

You will design scalable solutions using Shopify Admin API, GraphQL, REST, and webhooks, assess technical debt, and drive a modernization roadmap with cross‑functional teams. Strong communication and stakeholder management are essential.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software/backend development experience
• Strong Shopify/Shopify Plus expertise
• Experience with Shopify APIs, GraphQL, webhooks, custom apps, and integrations
• Experience designing ecommerce integrations and scalable backend architectures
• Understanding of ecommerce operations, order management, inventory, and fulfillment
• Ability to assess systems, solve complex problems, and drive technical strategy
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills

Responsibilities

• Own Shopify Plus architecture, custom applications, integrations, APIs, and webhooks
