Job Title: Shop Technician / Heavy Duty Parts Installer

Rate of Pay: $21.00-$23.00/hour (based on experience)

Shift: Monday - Friday 7:00am - 4:30pm

Location: St. Catharines - Dunkirk Rd. and Welland Ave.

We are hiring a Shop Technician/Heavy Duty Parts Installer for a client in St. Catharines! Our client specializes in manufacturing high-quality trucks and trucking equipment. Successful applicants will have long-term (2+ years) experience assembling and/or installing mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems. This is a long-term role with the opportunity for permanent hire!

Job Responsibilities:

  • Prep and install truck components (e.g., pneumatic, weight calibration, and electrical systems, etc.)
  • Build and maintain mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems for dump trucks and other trucking equipment
  • Perform quality inspections on equipment before/after installation
  • Follow safety guidelines set out in the facility
  • Actively participate in department meetings
  • Undergo general training programs as advised by supervisors
  • Maintain a clean and safe workspace
  • Lifting up to 50lbs throughout the shift
  • Other general labour tasks as assigned

Candidate Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years of manufacturing (automotive preferred) or technician experience
  • Strong communication skills required
  • Experience using hand and power tools
  • Welding experience (preferred)
  • Comfortable lifting up to 50lbs
  • CSA Safety Shoes
  • Willing to provide a Criminal Record Search
